KP2MI opens registration for 40,000 SMK Go Global participants

The first registration phase runs Aug. 12-16 as part of a broader effort to prepare 500,000 prospective migrant workers.

The Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers has opened registration for the first phase of capacity-building training under the SMK Go Global program for 40,000 participants from Aug. 12-16, 2026. Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Mukhtarudin said the program is designed to prepare graduates and the general public for jobs in overseas labor markets. The training covers technical skills, language, cultural understanding, work discipline, and the rights and obligations of migrant workers. Priority fields include health care, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, construction, agriculture, shipping and maritime work, as well as foreign languages. The government is targeting a total of 500,000 prospective migrant workers, consisting of 300,000 SMK graduates and 200,000 participants from the general public.
