Kompol Fadli Amri earns law doctorate at Unissula Semarang

His dissertation advanced sociopreneurship policing, casting police as facilitators of economic empowerment to help prevent crime.

Kompol M. Fadli Amri, a Polri member assigned to SSDM Mabes Polri, earned a Doctor of Law degree from Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (Unissula), Semarang, after about three years of study. In his doctoral research, Fadli developed the idea of sociopreneurship policing, an approach that combines police science, social entrepreneurship, community collaboration and crime prevention based on socio-economic empowerment. Under the concept, police do not only enforce the law, but can also act as drivers or facilitators of social enterprises that create jobs and strengthen community resilience. Fadli is a graduate of the Master of Police Science program at STIK-PTIK. He was supervised by Jawade Hafidz as promotor and Anis Mashdurohatun as co-promotor.
