Kemenkes proposes Rp800,000-Rp1.3 million hajj exam fee

The proposal also standardizes istithaah and aligns 416,147 hajj queue records that are still unmatched with Dukcapil.

The Ministry of Health has proposed two base fee options for medical examinations of prospective hajj pilgrims: Rp800,000-Rp1 million and Rp1.1 million-Rp1.3 million. The proposal is aimed at reducing disparities in examination costs between regional hospitals and vertical hospitals, while also standardizing istithaah assessments through uniform tests. Kemenkes also recommended meningitis vaccine tariffs of Rp320,000-Rp350,000 and combination packages of up to Rp850,000. In the same presentation, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah signed a joint circular on digitizing hajj services based on population data. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said 416,147 of 5.7 million hajj queue records have not yet been matched with Dukcapil data, a condition it said opens opportunities for broker activity, age manipulation and illegal transfer of quotas.
