Kemendagri enlists academics, media to validate IPKD 2025
Provincial governments are expected to fund the validation in 2025, before taking full control of the process in 2026.
The Home Affairs Ministry, through the National Internal Strategy Agency, is involving academics, experts and mass media to validate the results of the Regional Financial Management Index measurement for Fiscal Year 2024 for the 2025 measurement year. BSKDN head Yusharto Huntoyungo said the move is aimed at strengthening the objectivity, transparency and accountability of assessments of regional financial management performance. This year’s validation uses a regional approach based on island clusters, covering Sumatra, Java-Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara-Maluku-Maluku Utara and Papua. Kemendagri is also preparing a handover of authority: in Fiscal Year 2025, provincial governments are expected to begin allocating their own budgets for validation with BSKDN assistance, then in Fiscal Year 2026 the authority will be fully carried out by the provinces.
