Kapolri Suyudi meets Jaksa Agung, raises karhutla coordination

Kapolri Jenderal Suyudi Ario Seto met with Jaksa Agung ST Burhanuddin at the Main Building of the Kejaksaan Agung in Jakarta on Wednesday (14/10), in his first official visit to the institution since being appointed by President Prabowo Subianto on Oct. 2. The meeting was attended by the new ranks of senior officials at Mabes Polri, including Deputy Chief Comr. Gen. Wahyu Hadiningrat and Criminal Investigation chief Comr. Gen. Asep Safrudin. Suyudi and Burhanuddin stressed the need for synergy between Polri investigators and Kejaksaan prosecutors so the legal process from investigation through court rulings is stronger. Kejaksaan Agung Legal Information Center head Anang Supriatna added that handling of forest and land fire cases was also raised, though briefly, especially coordination if the case advances to the investigation and prosecution stages.
