A Las Vegas jury found Duane "Keffe D" Davis guilty of murder in the 1996 drive-by killing of rapper Tupac Shakur, closing one of hip-hop's longest-running cold cases. Davis, 63, was convicted in Clark County after prosecutors argued he orchestrated the attack after Shakur and others beat Davis' nephew at a casino that night. Prosecutors said Davis got the gun, joined the search for Shakur and Marion "Suge" Knight in a white Cadillac, and directed the shooting even if he was not the triggerman. The case leaned heavily on Davis' own memoir, media interviews and recorded talks with investigators. Shakur was shot on Sept. 7, 1996, in Las Vegas and died days later.
