Jurors enter third day in Lindsay Clancy murder trial

What’s next: The Massachusetts jury can convict on murder or manslaughter, or find her not criminally responsible and send her to a hospital.

Jurors resumed deliberations Monday for a third day in the Massachusetts trial of Lindsay Clancy, the former nurse charged with killing her three children in Duxbury in January 2023. Clancy has not disputed strangling Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, with exercise bands before jumping from a second-floor window. Her lawyers argue she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and lacked criminal responsibility. Prosecutors contend she acted deliberately, sending her husband out on errands before the killings. The 36-year-old, who is paralyzed from the waist down after the fall, faces possible outcomes ranging from first-degree murder to manslaughter, acquittal or commitment to a psychiatric facility.
