Ahead of Los Angeles mayoral vote, Spencer Pratt attacks Bass
Independent candidate Spencer Pratt targets Karen Bass and Nithya Raman as the June 2 Los Angeles primary nears.
Spencer Pratt intensified his attacks on his rivals ahead of the June 2 Los Angeles mayoral primary. In an interview with ABC News, the independent candidate criticized incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and City Council member Nithya Raman, focusing on their handling of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires and homelessness. Pratt also highlighted Bass' trip to Ghana as the fires began. In a recent debate, Bass called her absence during the crisis one of the worst moments of her life. A UC Berkeley-Los Angeles Times poll released Thursday put Bass at 26 percent, Raman at 25 percent and Pratt at 22 percent. If one candidate wins more than 50 percent of the vote, the winner is decided outright.
