Jamkrindo launches PELITA Mobile for free child counseling
The mobile service will visit schools and give children access to professional psychologists for early detection of mental-health problems.
PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Persero), or Jamkrindo, launched the Mobil Pelayanan Empati, Literasi, dan Tumbuh Anak (PELITA) in Jakarta on Saturday (18/7), coinciding with the company’s 56th anniversary. The mobile service is designed to expand access to literacy, education, growth-support mentoring and free psychological counseling for children.
Chief Executive Officer Abdul Bari said Mobil PELITA builds on a previously run program on mental health education, bullying prevention and sexual violence prevention. Through the mobile service, Jamkrindo will visit schools so children can consult with professional psychologists, build self-confidence and address problems in school and family settings. The program is also intended to speed early detection of psychological problems in children.
