Jakarta receives several naming rights bids for JIS
The winner is expected to be chosen soon, as JIS is also being lined up for 15 major concerts in 2027.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the Jakarta provincial government has received several applications for naming rights for Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). He did not disclose the names of the interested parties, but said a decision on who will get the rights would be made soon. Pramono said interest in JIS has risen as the stadium takes on a wider range of functions. He said 15 major concerts have already proposed JIS as a venue in 2027. According to him, the stadium’s appeal has also been lifted by transport improvements, including a connection to Ancol, KRL service and plans to add a platform side in the JIS area. Pramono also cited traffic conditions when he attended The Weeknd concert at JIS in late September, which he said were better managed.
