Irjen Agus Wijayanto takes command of Polda Kalimantan Utara
The new police chief plans to strengthen internal cohesion while continuing ongoing programs in Kaltara.
Irjen Pol Agus Wijayanto officially took command of Polda Kalimantan Utara after receiving the Pataka "Ngelimut Mengka Peguna" from outgoing chief Irjen Pol Djati Wiyoto Abadhy during a Welcome and Farewell Parade at Polda Kaltara headquarters in Tanjung Selor on Friday. The handover marked a leadership transition within the Polda Kaltara ranks. Agus said strengthening internal cohesion is one of his early priorities. He also called on all personnel to maintain unity while continuing existing programs to support public security and order in Kalimantan Utara. Djati, who has been assigned as Kapolda Sumatera Barat, described the Pataka as a symbol of trust and dedication for police personnel.
