Iran’s president to meet Putin in Moscow in late October
The agenda will cover energy, food, trade and geopolitics, with no documents planned for signature.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow in late October on the sidelines of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum summit. Iran's ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, said the talks will focus on economic and trade cooperation, including the North-South International Transport Corridor, energy security, food security and the expansion of bilateral trade ties. The two will also exchange views on geopolitical, international and political issues. According to Jalali, no documents have been prepared for signature during the visit. The meeting comes as Moscow and Tehran deepen ties amid sanctions pressure and a wider regional crisis.
