Iran warns Israeli attack in Lebanon would breach U.S. deal
Swiss is preparing the formal signing in Burgenstock on 19 June, with both delegations due to attend.
Iran has warned the United States to honor the interim agreement ahead of the signing of a memorandum of understanding to end the war on 19 June in Switzerland. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a new round of talks will begin Friday to move toward a final agreement. He also said any Israeli attack on Lebanon, or any continued presence of Israeli forces in Lebanese territory, would be treated as a violation of the interim accord. The Swiss government said the signing ceremony is scheduled to take place in Burgenstock, Nidwalden canton. According to reports cited by Tribunnews, JD Vance and Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf will lead the respective delegations. CNN Indonesia also reported that Donald Trump previously said the deal nearly collapsed because of Benjamin Netanyahu's objections.
