Intel posts 25% revenue jump as AI demand lifts Q2 to $16.1 billion

Intel reported its fastest quarterly revenue growth since 2011, with second-quarter sales rising 25% from a year earlier to $16.1 billion as demand for AI-related computing boosted its server chip business. Adjusted earnings came in at 42 cents a share, ahead of analyst expectations of 21 cents. Revenue in Intel's data center business climbed 59% to $6.3 billion, while its client computing unit, which makes PC chips, grew 13% to $8.9 billion. The company projected third-quarter revenue of $15.8 billion to $16.8 billion, topping Wall Street estimates. Intel also said it has reached 10 long-term server CPU agreements with customers as it works through supply constraints and expands manufacturing.
