Integrated Bandung Rakyat School opens, seats 560 students
The Soreang boarding school is part of the Rakyat School expansion, which will grow from 166 to 182 locations in 2026.
Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi 4 Kabupaten Bandung in Soreang, West Java, began operating in the 2026/2027 school year and can accommodate 560 students. The students comprise 56 elementary pupils, 229 junior high students and 275 senior high students, and they started with registration and the School Environment Orientation period. PT Brantas Abipraya completed construction of the school, while the government said all supporting facilities were ready for use. The school complex was built as an integrated boarding-school concept, equipped with classrooms for the three levels, student dormitories, teacher apartment blocks, a mosque, a multipurpose building, a cafeteria, a dining hall, and mini soccer and basketball fields. The opening of the orientation period was attended by Presidential Chief of Staff Dudung Abdurachman along with officials from the Presidential Staff Office, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Public Works.
