Indonesia investment in first half of 2026 reaches Rp1.010,6 trillion

Indonesia's investment realization in the first half of 2026 reached Rp1.010,6 trillion, equal to 49,5 percent of this year's target of Rp2.041,3 trillion. Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani reported the figure to President Prabowo Subianto at Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, on Thursday, saying it rose 7,2 percent from the same period last year. During January-June 2026, the investment absorbed 1.44 million workers, up 15 percent. The distribution was also nearly balanced, but outside Java remained slightly higher at Rp507,8 trillion, or 50,2 percent, compared with Java at Rp502,8 trillion. The mix of domestic and foreign investment was also even: domestic investment totaled Rp502,9 trillion and foreign investment Rp507,6 trillion. Among foreign investors, Singapore was the largest contributor with 8.8 billion US dollars.
