Makassar Dekranas anniversary ends with Rp4 billion in sales
The four-day expo drew 203 booths and lifted demand for hotels, restaurants, transport and local small businesses.
The 46th anniversary celebration of the Dewan Kerajinan Nasional (Dekranas) in Makassar closed on Sunday, July 12, with transactions of about Rp4 billion over four days at the Atrium Trans Studio Mall. Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian said the impact spread across the city economy, from air and local transport to hotels, restaurants and vehicle rentals. Committee chair Sukarniaty Kondolele said the event, themed “Cipta Kriya Berkelanjutan, Perajin Mendunia,” featured 203 booths from provincial, regency and city Dekranasda groups. Makassar Mayor Munafri Ariffudin said the presence of thousands of participants also boosted the souvenir trade and UMKM. The closing was also attended by Tri Tito Karnavian, South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman and Melinda Aksa.
