Government sends Energy Guards to 3,679 gas stations
Registration runs through Nov. 1, 2026, with placements prioritizing local candidates near their home provinces.
The government launched the Energy Guards 2026 program to monitor the distribution of subsidized fuel and assigned fuel down to the gas station level. Introduced by Deputy Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Yuliot in Jakarta on Oct. 23, the program is set to cover 3,679 gas stations across Indonesia. Officers will take part directly in energy distribution oversight, strengthen monitoring data, and help prevent leakage and misuse of subsidies. Placements will prioritize local candidates according to their province of residence or the nearest area, although participants must still sign a commitment to be ready for assignment anywhere in Indonesia. The program is a collaboration between BPH Migas and Politeknik Energi dan Mineral Akamigas, open to university graduates, with registration from Oct. 24 to Nov. 1 through the official portal.
