Government opens 8,100 invitations for HUT RI ceremony at Istana

The government is preparing 8,100 invitations for the 81st HUT RI commemoration ceremony at Istana Merdeka, Jakarta, on Aug. 17, 2026. Deputy State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro said part of the quota will be opened to the public through an online registration mechanism often referred to as a "war tiket." The registration schedule has not been announced, but the government said the information will be released soon. Under last year’s system, registration was handled through the Pandang Istana service with a limited quota and a committee verification process. In addition to the general public, the government will also invite winners of the HUT ke-81 RI logo drawing. President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to serve as ceremony inspector at the proclamation moment at Istana Merdeka.
