Government forms Satgas P2BBL to curb lobster seed smuggling
Created under Perpres 69/2026, the task force combines prevention, enforcement and law-enforcement targets.
The government has formed the Satuan Tugas Pemberantasan Pengeluaran Benih Bening Lobster, or Satgas P2BBL, to strengthen efforts against lobster seed smuggling. The task force was inaugurated at the Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan office in Jakarta, with Dudung Abdurachman as Ketua Pengarah, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono as Ketua Pelaksana, and Didit Herdiawan Ashaf as Ketua Pelaksana Harian. The legal basis is Peraturan Presiden Nomor 69 Tahun 2026. The task force brings together authority, information, resources and operational capabilities across ministries and agencies for data collection, prevention, enforcement and setting law-enforcement targets. The government says Indonesia's potential supply of benih bening lobster reaches 465,8 juta ekor per year and wants to channel it into domestic aquaculture so added value and economic benefits are not lost to illegal practices.
