GIIAS 2026 opens in BSD with more than 65 automakers
The show runs through Aug. 9, with 43 passenger car brands, seven commercial brands and dozens of motorcycles and body builders.
The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, or GIIAS 2026, opened Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in BSD, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The exhibition runs until Aug. 9 and features more than 65 global automotive brands that are members of GAIKINDO. The lineup includes 43 passenger vehicle brands, seven commercial vehicle brands, and dozens of motorcycle and body builder brands. Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita opened the event. A series of launches and technology displays drew attention, including the Mitsubishi Xforce Hybrid, Mazda locally assembled models, the Geely Coolray, and the XPeng AeroHT Land Aircraft Carrier e-VTOL flying car. GIIAS again serves as a major venue for established makers and newcomers to showcase product and technology strategies in Indonesia's automotive market.
