Fuel queues in Medan and Binjai ease after supplies rise

New: Pertamina has raised deliveries to gas stations to 120-125 percent and added backup trucks to keep stocks steady.

Lines of vehicles at several gas stations in Medan and Binjai, North Sumatra, began to ease after fuel distribution was strengthened over the past two days. BPH Migas and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga inspected locations that had previously been prone to queues, including the Medan Deli gas station on Saturday, 18 July 2026. BPH Migas head Wahyudi Anas said service conditions were gradually returning to normal, while the long queue in Binjai, which had been reported at more than 1 kilometer, is no longer visible. To maintain distribution, Pertamina added spot charter backup vehicles and raised fuel volumes to gas stations to 120-125 percent so service would not be interrupted.
