Firefly scraps Seletar-Subang flights for 4 days as haze cuts visibility

What's new: The cancellations now run through Oct. 13, with passengers shifted to Malaysia Airlines flights via KLIA and Changi if seats are available.

Firefly canceled all flights between Singapore's Seletar Airport and Malaysia's Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang from Oct. 10 through Oct. 13, extending the disruption to a fourth day as haze reduced visibility. The Malaysian carrier said all six daily return services on the route were affected, covering flights FY3122 to FY3133. Travelers are being moved to Malaysia Airlines flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Singapore's Changi Airport, subject to seat availability, or can request a full refund credited within 30 working days. Singapore's 24-hour PSI hit 192 on Oct. 9, and air quality remained unhealthy across the island as the haze persisted.
