Fake crocodile photo halts Pandan Reservoir activities in Singapore
What's new: PUB ended its search, restored water activities from Aug. 22 and filed a police report over the fabricated image.
Singapore's national water agency halted activities at Pandan Reservoir after an Aug. 20 report of a crocodile, then reversed course after finding the photo behind the sighting was fake. PUB said Aug. 21 that it had stopped search operations, lodged a police report and would allow water activities to resume from Aug. 22. Before that, PUB and the National Parks Board had launched search and capture operations and told the Singapore Rowing Association and Singapore Canoe Federation to suspend kayaking, canoeing, dragon boating and rowing. Police confirmed a report was filed and that the investigation is ongoing.
