What's new: The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner listed hypertensive cardiovascular disease as the cause of death at his home.

Eric Bauza, the Emmy-winning voice actor who became the modern voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes characters, has died at 46. His family said he died suddenly late Sunday. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner reported that Bauza died at his home from hypertensive cardiovascular disease. Born in Scarborough, Ontario, to Filipino immigrant parents, Bauza built a career spanning more than 400 voice credits. He voiced key Looney Tunes roles in projects including "Space Jam: A New Legacy" and "Coyote vs. Acme," and won three Children's and Family Emmy Awards between 2022 and 2025. He was widely seen as a successor to Mel Blanc, the original voice behind many of the franchise's best-known characters.
