Elon Musk is targeting his AI tool, Grok Imagine, to make a feature-length film, "The Odyssey," completed by late 2026. He posted the claim on X while sharing a roughly three-minute AI video based on Homer’s work. Musk said the result would be "historically accurate" and remain faithful to Homer’s art. The claim raised questions because "The Odyssey" has long been known as an ancient Greek epic poem that is fictional and heavy on mythology, including Cyclops and sorceresses who turn sailors into pigs. Musk’s remark came after he previously attacked Christopher Nolan’s film "The Odyssey," including criticism of the casting of Lupita Nyong’o. Amid the criticism, Nolan’s film still opened to a global box office total of 264.1 million dollars.
