Electrical panel room at Gambir Station burns, trains run normally

A fire broke out in the electrical panel room at Gambir Station in Central Jakarta on Saturday night, November 7, 2026. The Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency deployed 15 fire trucks with 60 personnel after receiving a report at 20.23 WIB. Crews arrived at 20.32 WIB and began extinguishing the fire at 20.34 WIB. The blaze was brought under control at 20.50 WIB, then cooling began at 21.03 WIB. The operation was declared finished at 21.15 WIB with green status. ANTARA reported that train operations at Gambir Station continued normally after the fire. The cause of the fire, the amount of damage, and whether there were any casualties are still being investigated.
