DPR urges probe into suspected Rp10.2 billion KBS feed graft
The alleged irregularities at Kebun Binatang Surabaya are said to span 2016-2024, with calls for more than one suspect.
House of Representatives Commission IV member Rajiv has urged law enforcement to complete the investigation into suspected corruption in animal feed funds at Kebun Binatang Surabaya worth Rp10,2 miliar. He said the case should be examined comprehensively because the alleged misuse is said to have occurred throughout 2016-2024 and should not stop at a single suspect. Rajiv said the Kejaksaan Tinggi Jawa Timur should question all parties believed to have known about the budget irregularities at KBS. He said the case could not only harm state finances, but also affect animal welfare because it involves feed, medical care, enclosure cleanliness, and conservation functions. He also linked the management of conservation institutions to Environment and Forestry Ministerial Regulation No. 15 Tahun 2023.
