DKPP issues stern sanction to KPU RI member over helicopter trip to Cianjur
The panel said a schedule clash for a Bengkulu event could not justify using public funds for an extraordinary transport mode.
DKPP issued a stern warning to KPU RI member Parsadaan Harahap, finding he violated the ethics code when he used a helicopter to Kecamatan Cidaun, Kabupaten Cianjur, West Java, for the installation of KPPS on January 25, 2024. The ruling in case 10-PKE-DKPP/VI/2026 was read in Jakarta on Wednesday by panel chief Heddy Lugito. The panel said Parsadaan accepted the facility without any emergency, isolation, safety threat, or election-stage urgency that could not be delayed. Panel member I Dewa Kade Wiarsa Raka Sandi said the clash with Parsadaan's planned attendance at an event in Bengkulu could not be shifted into a burden on public finances. In the same case, KPU Jawa Barat member Abdullah Sapi’i also received a stern warning.
