Densus 88 arrests 2 suspected terror propagandists in Ciamis, Lampung
Authorities say the pair were linked to the same network and used social media for propaganda, recruitment and incitement.
Densus 88 Antiteror Polri arrested two men identified as AR in Ciamis, West Java, and H in Bandar Lampung on Monday (20/7) in a case involving suspected terror propaganda on social media. Densus 88 spokesman Mayndra Eka Wardhana said H was linked to the same case as AR. Investigators believe the two were involved in propaganda, recruitment and incitement through digital platforms. During the operation, investigators also found material containing narratives of radicalism, terrorism and justification of violence. Both are now under intensive questioning to determine their respective roles and any other networks involved.
