Bundaran HI MRT concourse reaches 22%, links malls, hotels
The 300-meter underground passage is planned as a non-tapping public area for 3,200 people and is due in June 2027.
Construction of the multifunctional space, or extended concourse, at Bundaran HI MRT Station in Jakarta has reached 22 percent. PT MRT Jakarta is targeting completion of the Rp148,2 miliar project in June 2027, alongside preparations for operations of phase 2A Bundaran HI-Monas and Jakarta's 500th anniversary. The roughly 300-meter underground corridor, with an area of 4,200 square meters, will serve as a non-tapping public area and add pedestrian access from the station to the west and east sides of the Bundaran HI area. PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta said the initial connection will lead to Plaza Indonesia, Grand Hyatt, Pullman Jakarta Indonesia, and Wisma Nusantara, while further links to Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Grand Indonesia, and Mandarin Oriental are still being finalized in the design.
