Children in Semarang learn wayang and karawitan at Sindhu Laras

Managers link the regular training to PP Tunas, aiming to curb gadget dependence and exposure to harmful content.

Children took part in regular karawitan and puppetry training at Sindhu Laras Bocah in Semarang, Jawa Tengah, on Sunday (21/6). During the event, they performed wayang kulit, practiced gamelan, and received guidance from instructors. The management of Sindhu Laras Bocah explained that the training is not only meant to preserve traditional Javanese arts, but also to support the implementation of PP Tunas. That is done by strengthening creative, educational activities and real-world social interaction as part of child protection in the digital space. According to the management, the approach is expected to help reduce children's dependence on gadgets while also limiting exposure to negative content on social media.
