BNI sends aid for flood victims in Padang, 672 evacuate
The aid includes 400 ready-to-eat rice packs and an 8,000-liter tank of clean water for affected areas.
BNI distributed aid for residents affected by flooding in several areas of Padang, Sumatera Barat, through its TJSL BNI Berbagi program. The distribution was adjusted to field needs based on information from the regional secretary and BPBD Kota Padang. Preliminary data shows 672 residents have evacuated to three locations in Kuranji District. In Koto Tangah District, about 459 families were affected, mainly in Koto Panjang Ikua Koto and Lubuk Minturun villages. Some residents took shelter in mosques, while others stayed with family members or relatives. The aid sent included bottled water, blankets, instant noodles, rice, cooking oil, eggs, 400 ready-to-consume rice packs, and one 8,000-liter tank of clean water for sanitation needs.
