BMKG forecast light rain could fall on Monday in a number of major cities, from Medan, Padang, Bengkulu, Bandarlampung, Pontianak and Tanjung Selor in western areas to Mamuju, Palu, Ambon, Nabire and Jayapura in eastern Indonesia. BMKG forecaster M. Rizky said most other cities would be dominated by fair to partly cloudy skies, or heavy cloud cover, including Banda Aceh, Pekanbaru, Jambi, Tanjung Pinang, much of Java, Samarinda, Banjarmasin, Denpasar, Mataram, Kupang, Makassar, Kendari, Gorontalo, Manado, Ternate, Sorong, Manokwari, Jayawijaya and Merauke. BMKG also warned of hazy conditions in Palembang and Palangka Raya and asked the public to monitor weather updates through the Info BMKG app and the @infobmkg account.
