Bima Arya urges IPDN alumni to prepare for local office

Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto urged cadets and alumni of Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri to prepare to become regional leaders in the future. Speaking at a public lecture at Balairung Rudini, IPDN Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang, on Thursday, Bima said IPDN graduates have a strong foundation because they are shaped through tiered assignments across the bureaucracy, from village heads and district chiefs to agency heads and regional secretaries. He said that experience gives them a full understanding of governance, public services, and community needs. Bima also stressed that future regional leaders will face increasingly complex challenges, from global geopolitical dynamics to carrying out national strategic programs. The event was also attended by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and IPDN Rector Halilul Khairi.
