Joe Biden has ended his court fight to block the release of transcripts and audio from his 2017 interviews with the ghostwriter of his memoir, clearing the way for the Trump Justice Department to make the records public. Biden's lawyers filed a voluntary dismissal Friday, handing a legal victory to the Heritage Foundation, which sued for access. The interviews were recorded after Biden left the vice presidency and were later gathered during a Justice Department investigation into classified documents found at his Wilmington, Delaware, home. Special counsel Robert Hur declined to bring charges in 2024, but his report fueled controversy by describing Biden as an elderly man with a poor memory.
