BGN uses student name-address data to target MBG aid

The recipient count now follows Kemendikdasmen data, and schools must update records within 1x24 hours if they do not match.

Badan Gizi Nasional has begun using student by name by address data as the reference for distributing the Program Makan Bergizi Gratis so recipients are more precisely targeted. BGN head Sudaryono said the number of meals distributed will follow data in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education system, rather than being set by the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi. If the number of students at a school differs from the system data, schools are asked to update student identities and student identification numbers, after which BGN will follow up within 1x24 hours. The policy applies not only to schools, but also to posyandu, madrasah and pondok pesantren. During a review of MBG distribution at SDN Cot Meuraja in Aceh Besar, Sudaryono also said the program is used to monitor its impact on student nutrition, attendance and enthusiasm for learning.
