BGN returns Rp311.2 billion after finding 414 problematic SPPG accounts

The funds, linked to duplicate virtual accounts and unopened kitchens, were reported to the Attorney General's Office for investigation.

Badan Gizi Nasional returned Rp311.246.295.184 to the state treasury after finding anomalies in 414 Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) under the Makan Bergizi Gratis program. BGN head Sudaryono said the findings came from a sweep of 27.469 operating kitchens. The problems included duplicate virtual accounts, collection accounts for kitchens that did not exist, and active accounts for kitchens that had not yet begun operating. The recovered funds were spread across five banks: BRI Rp137,5 miliar, BNI Rp74 miliar, Bank Mandiri Rp71,6 miliar, BTN Rp15,3 miliar, and Bank Syariah Indonesia Rp12,9 miliar. BGN has reported the findings to the Kejaksaan Agung to trace possible criminal elements, including embezzlement or corruption.
