BGN halts 91 MBG kitchens after BPK findings reach Rp18,19 billion
The freeze lasts indefinitely until the 91 SPPG units repay the audited amount to the state treasury and submit valid proof.
Badan Gizi Nasional has temporarily stopped operations at 91 Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) units after they failed to follow up on findings by Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan in the Program Makan Bergizi Gratis. The unpaid amount returned to the state treasury stands at Rp18.198.223.745, according to the Laporan Hasil Pemeriksaan BPK RI dated 18 Mei 2026. Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision Ketut Sumedana said the 91 SPPG units are spread across three regions: 4 units in Sumatra, 73 units in Jabodetabek, parts of Java, and Yogyakarta, and 14 units in Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua. BGN said the suspension applies without a time limit. The freeze will only be lifted after the SPPG units deposit the funds into the state treasury and submit valid proof of payment.
