BGN rejects social media claim that MBG funds are shared with President
BGN said a message using the agency chief’s name was not official and urged the public to rely only on verified channels.
The National Nutrition Agency rejected messages circulating on social media and messaging apps about profits from the Free Nutritious Meals Program being shared with the President. BGN chief Nanik S. Deyang said the claim was a hoax and had never come from her or from any official agency channel. The message also used her name in connection with former BGN chief Dadan Hindayana. Nanik said such disinformation could mislead the public and stir unrest. BGN stressed that official statements are issued only through press releases, its official website, and verified social media accounts. The agency urged people to check the source of information before sharing it and not to use posts outside official channels as references.
