Baznas disburses Rp871 million for pesantren, mosques in Gresik
The funds cover 7 Zmart Pesantren units, 5 mosques under BUMi and a santripreneur program built on a circular economy model.
Baznas RI, together with Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, disbursed Rp871 million in aid to strengthen the economy based on pesantren and mosques at Pondok Pesantren Ihyaul Ulum in Gresik, East Java, on Saturday, 8 August 2026. The aid consists of Rp350 million for 7 units of Zmart Pesantren, Rp500 million for 5 mosques through the Baznas Ultra Mikro Masjid, or BUMi, program, and Rp21 million for the santripreneur program through an empowerment garden based on a circular economy. Baznas RI Chairman Sodik Mudjahid said the program aims to strengthen the financial independence of the community. Nationally, BUMi Masjid has reached 213 mosques in 35 provinces with 10,641 beneficiaries.
