Husein Bandung airport targets international routes from October 2026
After domestic jet service resumed on Aug. 14, Husein is preparing a phased launch of overseas flights.
Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung is targeted to resume international flights starting in October 2026. PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, through InJourney Airports, is preparing the launch with the Transportation Ministry after the airport restarted domestic commercial jet service on Aug. 14.
InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi said the international routes are expected to operate sustainably, not just temporarily. Husein previously served routes to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur before many commercial flights were shifted to Bandara Internasional Jawa Barat Kertajati.
To support the reactivation, the operator has prepared 26 check-in counters, self check-in kiosks, security screening equipment and three baggage conveyor belts.
