PT Jasa Sarana Jabar assets fall by Rp500 billion, DPRD urges halt

Commission III of the Jawa Barat DPRD is pressing PT Jasa Sarana to stop all loss-making business lines after the infrastructure BUMD's assets shrank sharply. A DPRD audit and review estimated the company's total assets, which once topped Rp1 trillion, are now only about Rp500 billion. At the same time, the company still carries liabilities of around Rp170 billion to Rp180 billion, leaving net assets at about Rp400 billion. Commission III chairman Jajang Rohana said annual revenue has also failed to cover operating costs, leaving the company with a deficit of about Rp3 billion a year. The DPRD is urging the sale of nonproductive assets to strengthen capital in business lines that still have prospects so Jasa Sarana can again contribute to PAD instead of burdening the Jawa Barat APBD.
