The United States and Iran are said to have agreed on a framework to end the war, with the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz as one of the key points. CNN Indonesia reported that Washington released 14 points from a memorandum of understanding said to have been digitally signed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Iran President Massoud Pezeshkian ahead of a delegation meeting in Swiss. The status of the document is still unclear, however, because the quoted text still contains blank date sections and describes the arrangement as an agreement to be negotiated again. Under the circulating terms, the two sides are said to target a final agreement in 60 days, the U.S. to end the naval blockade in 30 days, and Iran to ensure smooth traffic for merchant ships from the Persian Gulf to the Oman Sea for 60 days.
