Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 to pull level with Manchester City
What’s new: Ezri Konsa scored his first Arsenal goal, and Gabriel added a second as Arsenal capitalized on City’s loss to Aston Villa.
Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, with Ezri Konsa opening the scoring before Gabriel Magalhães sealed the result in the second half. The win moved Arsenal level on points with Premier League leader Manchester City after City lost earlier in the day to Aston Villa. Konsa struck in the seventh minute for his first goal for the club after a corner caused problems in the Everton box. Gabriel later doubled the lead as Arsenal controlled a match in which Everton offered little going forward. Everton manager David Moyes remained without a win on his 14th visit to the stadium in charge of the Merseyside club.
