The TikTok audio was removed after Grande wrote, “never use my music” for immigration operations.
Ariana Grande protested the White House after the song “Bye” was used in a TikTok video showing ICE agents arresting immigrants in the United States. In a comment, Grande asked that her music not be linked to actions she called “vile, inhumane, and horrific.” Her representative later confirmed the comment was written directly by Grande. After the protest, the song’s audio was no longer heard in the video. White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded by defending the government’s operations against criminal illegal immigrants. “Bye” is one of the songs on the 2024 album Eternal Sunshine.
