Anthropic Q2 revenue topped $11.5 billion ahead of IPO push
What's new: The Claude maker posted positive adjusted operating income and told investors annualized revenue passed $47 billion in May.
Anthropic told prospective investors that second-quarter revenue exceeded $11.5 billion, up more than 14-fold from $787 million a year earlier, as the AI startup prepares for a potential public listing. The preliminary figure also marked a sharp jump from $4.73 billion in the first quarter of 2026, according to documents seen by Bloomberg News and cited by The Business Times. The company also posted positive adjusted operating income in the quarter. Anthropic, maker of the Claude chatbot, has filed confidentially for an IPO and is working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase. The fundraising push comes as Anthropic competes with OpenAI and DeepSeek for corporate AI customers and the capital needed to build more advanced models.
