Aliansi Masyarakat Jakarta stages orderly protest at DPR
About 100 people joined the protest from 14.30 WIB, calling for rejection of provocation and damage to public facilities.
Aliansi Masyarakat Jakarta staged a demonstration in front of the Gedung DPR RI in Jakarta on Monday afternoon, carrying appeals to keep the capital conducive, orderly, peaceful and safe. Protest coordinator Novran said the rally involved about 100 people and began at 14.30 WIB. The crowd carried posters stressing the importance of maintaining order amid calls for anarchic action. In their statement, they warned residents to be wary of hoaxes on social media, especially calls to commit arson and damage public facilities. They also asked authorities to act against provocateurs and accounts spreading false information that could harm the public.
