93 Second-Phase Sekolah Rakyat targeted for July launch
National progress is nearing 81 percent, but Kementerian PU acknowledges some sites, including Brebes, remain hard to catch up.
Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum is targeting 93 Sekolah Rakyat phase II to become operational in July 2026 so students can move into permanent buildings for the new school year. PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said national construction progress has reached nearly 81 percent, although higher prices for building materials and fuel have also slowed the work. He said more than 90 percent of sites could be operational in July, even though some locations such as Brebes remain difficult to catch up. In Pasuruan, two permanent schools in Kota Pasuruan and Kabupaten Pasuruan are also in the final stage, with progress at 80,921 percent and 82,28 percent, respectively. Both are scheduled for open house activities and student relocation in mid-July.
