66 complaints hit Korea Artiz Studio after S$271,000 in losses

Korea Artiz Studio's Singapore outlet stopped operating, leaving engaged couples without scheduled shoots and more than S$271,000 in reported prepayment losses. The Consumers Association of Singapore said it received 66 complaints between Aug. 14 and Aug. 18 and contacted the bridal studio about whether booked services will proceed and what remedies customers may get if they do not. Police said a report was filed and an investigation is under way. An employee told local media the eight staff members closed the Carlton Hotel studio on Aug. 14 after salaries due on Aug. 7 were not paid, adding that wages had been arriving late since around May. A customer-run Telegram group for affected couples had grown to more than 80 members by Aug. 19.
